I am so excited! One of my favorite shows on Netflix is returning for its second season! “Why should I be watching,” you might ask. Well let me give you 5 reasons why you need this show to add to your Netflix’s list.

  1. PACIFIC ISLANDER REPRESENTATION

The main character, Luciane Buchanan who plays Rose Larkin on the show is New Zealand born but Tongan by blood. Mālō e lelei 👋 Not being biased, but she is a marvelous actress. She may be one of the first Pacific Islanders to star and be a lead in a mainstream Netflix series.

  1. LOVE LORE

Who does not love a good romance in a show. Rose Larkin and Peter Sutherland finished season 1 of The Night Agent as a couple whose characters had a slow burn throughout the whole season. Going from enemies-ish, or pretending to be irritated to the other person to obviously becoming lovers. Who doesn’t love a good trope? Season 2 we hope to see the couple further and deepen their relationship as they leave season 1 having to be long-distance. It may be the lover girl in me, but who doesn’t love a good, bada** couple who have good chemistry and banter.

  1. A BIT OF EVERYTHING

Besides romance, the show has a little bit of everything. First off, it is a conspiracy thriller created by Shawn Ryan. The show went on to break records as Netflix’s most watched series of 2023. It has a military, political theme and has quite a bit of action. You’re on your toes throughout the show, completely on edge of mystery and thriller as the show leads you to uncover a developing plot throughout the season. The first season had me intrigued until the very end, with every episode leaving you on a cliff hanger. With that, I can only expect to receive the same thing in the second season. If anything, I’m hoping for a bit more action and plots.

  1. AN EASY BINGE

Like I said it has a bit of every genre, and with every episode leaving you on a cliffhanger, it is very easy to binge. In a day you would have gone from episode one to episode 10 – that’s if you’re not doing anything. Every episode is a little short of an hour, which yes, it may seem like a long time, but when you’re caught up in the plot lines, you’d want to finish the show as soon as possible.

  1. PASS TIME

This will be the show you put on either to pass time or to escape from reality. I don’t want to condone an unhealthy relationship with streaming platforms, but if there is a show I would highly recommend to kick off your 2025 it would be to watch The Night Agent Season  2 (make sure you watch season 1 to catch up before the release).

I don’t want to spoil the show which is why I didn’t go TOO in-depth, but if I gave you enough to wonder and ponder about this show, then I did my job. The Night Agent Season 2 is set to release when the clock strikes 12 at midnight on January 23, 2025.
