In celebration of Samoan Language Week, Kaseki has released their soulful rendition of the beloved classic “Fa’anoa E.”
The timing couldn’t be more meaningful, this year marks five years since Kaseki was first formed in 2020, during this very week dedicated to honoring our gagana and cultural identity.
What started as a simple idea has evolved into a powerful movement, a mission to honour our roots and breathe new life into the treasured songs of our ancestors.
“Kaseki is more than the music,” Wayno of Kaseki shares. “It’s a tribute. A reminder. A celebration of how far we’ve come as Samoans and the legacy we’re committed to continuing. We’re simply vessels, carrying these classic Samoan songs so they live on in the hearts of our people for generations to come.”
Kaseki hopes listeners feel the love, pride, and intention behind every note: “We hope you enjoy this classic just as much as we enjoyed putting it together.”
