An iconic collaboration has taken the music world by storm, bringing together New Zealand artist Revus and the legendary Beenie Man. Their latest release, “Twin,” has not only fascinated audiences with its catchy tune but also with its lively music video, shot in the stunning landscapes of Jamaica. We had the pleasure of speaking with Tee, a great friend of ours from New Zealand, who stars as Beenie Man’s love interest in the video. She shared her exhilarating experience of traveling to Jamaica and being part of such a remarkable project.

The power of connecting and networking cannot be overstated, and for Tee, this opportunity emerged when she met Revus at the inaugural Homelands Music Festival in New Zealand while she was MCing. Their paths crossed again at JuicyFest in Christchurch, leading to a random message from Revus inviting her to model in his music video project in Jamaica. The offer included an all-expenses-paid trip and the chance to meet other models involved in the project. With everything confirmed, Tee embarked on a 30-hour journey from New Zealand to Jamaica, spanning four flights. Despite the long travel and lack of sleep, Tee’s adventurous spirit kept her enthusiastic throughout the trip. Her first impression upon arrival was one of amazement at the stunning surroundings and friendly people. Walking through the airport, she was filled with gratitude, continuously marveling at the fact that she was in Jamaica.

One of her fondest memories was a visit to the Jamaican rainforest on a day off, where she experienced a tropical rain shower, which locals endearingly call “liquid sunshine.” She cherished this adventure, jumping into the waters and waterfalls, and was deeply moved by the locals’ connection to their land and generational stories shared by a driver she met.

When it was time to shoot the music video, Tee found the experience working with Revus, Beenie Man, and the entire team to be nothing short of amazing. She praised their care and support throughout the process. Describing Beenie Man as “super old school with good vibes and chill,” Tee relished her role as his love interest in the video. The dynamic Jamaican culture, the dancing, and the spirited locals added an extra layer of excitement to the shoot.

Reflecting on the final product, Tee was thrilled to see the vision come to life. She felt honored to witness the iconic collaboration, especially seeing the Samoan and Tongan flags featured in the video. Grateful and humbled by the opportunity, she recognized it as a blessing from God, sharing that just a week before, she had expressed a desire to travel. She believes that this experience exemplifies how faith and desire can manifest into reality, creating miracles.

“Keep putting yourself out there. If you have a desire, trust it, and be aware of doubts. Remove those doubts, have faith, and focus on creating connections and networking.”

Tee offers valuable advice for those aspiring to work in the entertainment industry: “Keep putting yourself out there. If you have a desire, trust it, and be aware of doubts. Remove those doubts, have faith, and focus on creating connections and networking.”
