Carlos Ulberg extended his winning streak in dominant fashion, securing a unanimous decision victory over former champion Jan Blachowicz in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 255 in London. The judges scored the bout 29-28 across the board, marking Ulberg’s eighth consecutive win since February 2022.

Blachowicz, making his return to the octagon, showed little signs of rust in the opening round. He effectively utilized counter strikes and his signature leg kicks to slow Ulberg’s offense, resulting in a cautious and measured start from both fighters. The pattern continued for much of the second round, with both men hesitant to take major risks. The commentary team called for more urgency, and when exchanges did unfold, they provided brief moments of excitement. With the fight still up for grabs heading into the final frame, both competitors largely stuck to trading jabs, leg kicks, and occasional combinations.
In the end, the decision was left to the judges, who awarded the victory to Ulberg. Following his win, Ulberg wasted no time calling for a shot at the light heavyweight title.
“I’ve got the longest win streak in the division, so the only thing left for me is a title shot,”
Ulberg stated in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. “That’s all that matters.” Meanwhile, Blachowicz finds himself in a tough spot, now on a three-fight skid, the first of his career. The 42-year-old hasn’t secured a victory since May 2022, leaving questions about what’s next for the former champ.
