At just 20 years old, Patrick Jesse Taukolo, better known as Trixx, is already carving a unique path in the music scene, bringing the sounds and energy of Tonga to listeners both locally and abroad. Born and raised in Tonga, Trixx’s music reflects the warmth, joy, and rhythm of everyday island life, blending smooth melodies with an infectious island flavour that keeps listeners coming back for more.

A Sound Born from the Islands
When asked how he would describe his music, Trixx says, “My music gives you a little bit of everything: love, joy, good vibes, and the fun moments of everyday island life. Always uplifting, blending smooth melodies with that island flavour to bring people together and make them feel good.” It is this sense of community and positivity that makes his debut single so memorable.

Inspired by Halataufa’ahau, a famous main road in Tonga known for cruising and good times, Trixx’s first track captures the energy and romance of island living. “It is a fun track with a touch of love, mixing island energy with a smooth, romantic feel,” he explains. The song is an ode to his homeland, its culture, and the joyful moments that define growing up in Tonga.

Musical Influences and Mentors
Music runs deep in Trixx’s life. His biggest local influence has always been his father, a constant source of inspiration. Internationally, icons like Michael Jackson and Fiji shaped how he approaches music and performance. Trixx also credits his older brothers, Malkeezy and Molotry, for guiding him through the early stages of his career, helping him navigate the challenges of pursuing music professionally while staying connected to his roots.

Carrying the Culture Forward
For Trixx, being an artist from Tonga is more than making music, it is about representation and inspiration. “Being an artist from Tonga means a lot. I want to show our people and younger generation that it is possible,” he shares. Hailing from the small village of ‘Umusī, on the eastern side of Nuku‘alofa, Trixx carries his heritage proudly, infusing it into every note and lyric he creates.

Music to Make You Feel
Trixx’s goal is simple yet powerful, to make people feel good. “I want my music to make people vibe, feel good, and enjoy the energy I put into every track,” he says. With a focus on positivity and connection, his songs are as much about the emotions they evoke as the beats themselves.

Looking Ahead
The future is bright for Trixx. In the studio, he has been working on several new projects, including an upcoming collaboration with Molotry titled Back to the Islands, produced by Tonkzbeatz84. He is also preparing to expand his reach internationally and hopes to release his first official music video soon.

Words of Wisdom
For young artists back home, Trixx offers a message of authenticity and persistence. “Be yourself and just do you. Take the time to learn and understand the business side of music. We have all the tools to make it happen. I am just grateful I came across brothers that are genuine and are in this music space, always wanting to inspire and show ‘ofas to whoever is willing to listen and learn.”

With his roots firmly planted in Tonga and his vision reaching far beyond, Trixx is an artist to watch, one whose music carries the heart of the islands while connecting with listeners everywhere. His journey is only beginning, but one thing is clear, the world is ready for the energy, love, and island vibes that Trixx brings.
