Sold out and set to make history. On September 6th, TaioJr will step onto the stage at the House of Blues San Diego, not just to perform, but to mark a milestone moment.

It’s his first-ever hometown headliner, and for the proud Samoan artist, it’s far more than a show. For the first time, a major San Diego venue will feature a Hip-Hop lineup led by Polynesian artists, a long-overdue celebration of culture, talent, and community. This night isn’t just his milestone; it’s a statement: that his people, his city, and their stories belong on the biggest stages, and that generations of dreamers can see themselves reflected in the spotlight.

“This one’s special, it’s the first Hip-Hop show in San Diego history with a majority Polynesian lineup at a major music venue. I really believe it represents a big cultural moment for our city and our people,” TaioJr tells PMN+.
For him, the night is about more than music. “This isn’t just a concert, it’s history. The first time a Polynesian-led Hip-Hop show is taking the stage at House of Blues San Diego. We’re building a blueprint for the younger generation to show them that our culture belongs on the biggest stages too.”
As a proud Samoan born and raised in San Diego, TaioJr sees this event as a moment much larger than himself.
“As a proud Samoan from San Diego, this moment is bigger than me. It’s for our city, our people, and every kid who dreams big.”
The lineup itself reflects the power of community, mentorship, and artistry. TaioJr was intentional about who he wanted on stage with him.

“Super grateful for the guys wanting to be a part of this, whether that’s Stone II. He’s one of the guys that, early on, really believed in me and spoke light into my life and artistry, really made me believe in myself. For him, this is special because this is his first show in his hometown, so for him to want to be a part of this really means the world! BOI, a lyrical savant, been putting on for O-Side for a minute now, he deserves to be on that stage. Couldn’t think of another guy to represent San Diego County in its entirety. Imon Soleil, the only non-poly in the bunch but one of the fastest growing artists in my city, super wavy sound, I think, fits perfectly on the lineup. Real stand-up guy, and his hunger and drive is a reason he’s on the lineup. And lastly, the first opener, U$OVEEK, though he’s just really starting out, I see a lot of myself in him, his progression in sound and just raw love for it, always wanting to improve and learn more. Couldn’t think of another younger uso who’s more deserving in my city for an opportunity like this. Can’t wait to see him shine up there! My brother Tasi1k, really a renaissance man, Comedian, Artist, business owner (Stack Bundle), the hottest clothing brand in the culture right now, the perfect host to carry the night, blessed he’s a part of it. And my brother DJ Neato, known him before I had any buzz and knew before any of this came into fruition or was even a thought that he would be the DJ for my first headliner! Seasoned and a true professional.”

The show will take place in the Voodoo Room at House of Blues San Diego. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 7 PM, show starts at 8 PM. Tickets sold out quickly, a true reflection of the excitement and support behind this historic moment. September 6, 2025, will be a night to remember for America’s Finest City!
