FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, AUSTRALIA’S NATIONAL RUGBY LEAGUE (NRL) MAKES THEIR SEASON DEBUT IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA AT ALLEGIANT STADIUM.
March 2nd 2024 marks NRL HISTORY! For the first time in the United States, the NRL hosts their season opener with a double-header in Viva Las Vegas at the Allegiant stadium. In the winter, it is home to the Las Vegas Raiders but on March 2nd, it was home to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles taking on the South Sydney Rabbitohs, and the Sydney Roosters going head-to-head with the Brisbane Broncos. The Manly Sea Eagels kicked off the night shutting down the Rabbitohs 36-24, while the Roosters defeated the Broncos to win 20-10 to end the night.

It was amazing to witness rugby league out here in the states. The amount of love and support that was shown was incredible as the turnout was more than anticipated! Over 40,000 Australians and locals attended the history-making evening. From many rugby fanatics traveling far and wide to experience a historic moment, we can only expect to see the sport of rugby grow in the upcoming years as NRL Vegas 2025 is confirmed and running it back. The first team to be announced for next year’s double header is the Penrith Panthers.
